How have family roles and functions changed over the years?

Solution-

According to me, family roles and functions have changed drastically over the years. Two-parent household is declining day by day because of an increase in cohabitation, remarriage, or divorce. Families have become smaller because of single parenting. Because of internal as well as external forces on the family has caused a change in the family functions. The introduction of technology has affected the reproductive functions of the family. Now the children take birth in test tubes. Child-rearing functions have also changed in modern families. Now children are sent to play schools instead of being among the family members. As the size of a family is decreasing, the socialization function of the family is also squeezing.

Explanation-

Change is the law of nature. Family is also a part of nature and hence it has also changed over the years. Reproductive functions, child-rearing and education functions, protective functions, etc. have changed over time.
