Question- What were the Hawthorne Studies? What did they reveal about worker-employee relations? Sociology
Solution-
According to me, Hawthorne Studies were about the effect of the social issue on the work performance of the people. These studies proved that monetary incentives are comparatively less important than meeting the need and desires of the employees.
Hawthorne studies revealed that employees tend to work more if they were being observed. Employees need to be appreciated if they perform better. Wonderful results can be obtained if the employer has watched over the work done by the employees. The productivity of the employee is increased if they are being heard and valued.
Explanation-
Hawthorne studies were about the improved performance of the employees in presence of good watch over them. If their work is monitored and appreciated, they want to work more.
